"Glamis thou art, and Cawdor; and shalt be. What thou art promised: yet do I fear thy nature;
It is too full o' the milk of human kindness. To catch the nearest way: thou wouldst be great;
Art not without ambition, but without. The illness should attend it:”
After Lady Macbeth got the massage from the Macbeth about the prophecy which one became true.
She decided to kill king Duncan right away. Her ambition lead her to decide this terrible plan .
This quotation shows how Lady Macbeth start having ambitious thoughts which led her to start plan. However, there are other ways to approach one's goal, but lady Macbeth chose a way to harm others and get what she wants.

Banquo
"Thou hast it now: King, Cawdor, Glamis, all, As ... the weird women promised, and I fear
Thou play'dst most foully for't; yet it was said. It should not stand in thy posterity,
But that myself should be the root and father. Of many kings. If there come truth from them."
In the play, Banquo didn't seem ambitious. However in his soliloquy, he had mentioned his son might become king one day.
He start believing on the witches prophecy. He start thinking of his son, Fleance, becoming a king.
He did not act out his ambitious. However, in soliloquy Banquo's ambition is shown.
Thus we can see that everyone have ambitious instinct but the decision made to accomplish that ambition is important
because it can be a huge damage for your life. Such as Macbeth, his ambition throw him into dangerous and guilty life. Instead Banquo, he did not risk his life to achieve his ambition.

Rose
"Gainst nature still! Thriftless ambition, that wilt ravin ... up
Thine own life's means! Then 'tis most like. The sovereignty will fall upon Macbeth."
After King Duncan's death, everyone thought Malcolm killed king Duncan because of his ambition
Which means he wants to be crowned. Also people were suspicious because Malcolm and Donalbain run away.
However, there was no reason for Malcolm to kill king Duncan, because he was already a prince of Cumberland.
After all, Macbeth get to crowned.but this was all planed by Macbeth and his ambitious mind.

The Prince of Cumberland! That is a step.On which I must fall down, or else o'erleap,
For in my way it lies. Stars, hide your fires;Let not light see my black and deep desires.
The eye wink at the hand; yet let that be. Which the eye fears, when it is done, to see.
This quote illustrates that Macbeth's ambition lead him to make bad decision.
He did not think about killing King Duncan before the King gave Malcolm the name of prince of Chamberlain.
Thus this indicates to Macbeth that he won't be the king. Ambition can be a good helper to achieve the goal.
However, it can make you obtain it's goal by doing anything whether it is unethical or immoral.
